Abacus Mental Math®

Our mission is to help our students build a solid foundation in math, logical reasoning, self-confidence, and a love for learning, that will last throughout their lives. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are the foundation of math. With this in mind, it should be said, "Abacus Mental Math® is a must for every child." The heart of Soroban Abacus training is whole-brain development; the bonus is a strong foundation in math.  No other method has been able to produce the results that Soroban training has. Abacus Mental Math takes students through Soroban grades 10-1 in an easy, engaging, and rewarding way. Abacus Mental Math® produces results that can last a lifetime.

Our Curriculum & Approach

Not all Soroban training is created equal. Our CEO has received the high honor of Certified Japanese Soroban Abacus Teacher. We take pride in being a part of very few select schools that offer the Japanese curriculum to train our students in reading abacus, listening abacus, listening anzan, and flash anzan. We offer pre-soroban levels, grades 10-1, and Dan levels. We have created a platform for children to take advantage of this incredible training developed by the Japanese to engage their learning while rewarding progress along the way.

Meet a Few of the Experts

Dr. Toshio Hayashi, Ms. Kimiko Kawano, and Ms. Shizuko Amaiwa, are a few of the experts who have done scientific research in Soroban Abacus education. According to abacus research, children can improve cognitive abilities beyond math. By stimulating both the left and the right hemispheres during the training process, experts believe that abacus and image abacus (ANZAN) training is the key to optimal learning capability.
